Television viewing has certainly become more exciting on the local front as TV5 emerged as a major player that broke the network duopoly since its launch on August 9 last year, shaking the TV landscape with its innovative shows that offer the best in light entertainment. Now reveling its Happy One Year with top-rating programs such as Talentadong Pinoy, Who Wants to be a Millionaire?, and Midnight DJ at the forefront--all soaring high in the ratings, TV5 definitely has all the fitting reasons for a month-long birthday celebration.
As an anniversary offering, TV5 has been loaded with lots of activities and events especially this month—from the recent launch of seven new shows on the Late Night Trip, the international programs on the newest entertainment block Noontime Drama Delight and Laughternoon Break, the coming of the newest fantasy-adventure Moomoo & Me starring John Pratts and BJ Forbes, TV5's Red Carpet Premiere of the G.I. Joe and the Disney animated movie Up last August 7 and 14, back-to-back special episodes of Talentadong Pinoy, Shall We Dance, Wow Mali, Who Wants to be a Millionaire? and Lokomoko High, to the numerous on-air and online promos.
But as if the party isn't enough, to cap off the station's birthday month are the TV5 stars, fans, and supporters, as the station invites everyone to the back-to-back birthday celebration through the TV5 Happy One - Anniversary Party to be held on August 28, Friday, 6:00 p.m. at the Glorietta 3 Tent, and on the TV5 1st Birthday Kiddie Party on August 29, Saturday, 10:00 a.m. at the Active Fun Play & Party Center at SM North Edsa. It's a double festivity loaded with exciting and fun games, prizes, and TV5 celebrities such as Lucy Torres-Gomez, Oyo Sotto, Desiree Del Valle, and the whole Midnight DJ Team, Talentadong Pinoy Hall of Famers "Yoyo Tricker" and the "Tribal Dancers," Bayani Agbayani and the Kiddie Kwela kids, More on Gaming's Sam YG, the Lipgloss and Lokomoko High barkada to name a few, the Philippine All Stars, and also William Martinez and Yayo Aguila as they do storytelling on Saturday for the kids who will all together party and blow the TV5 Happy 1st Birthday candle.
All these celebrations are TV5's way of showing their gratitude and thanksgiving for all the gifts that the station has been continually receiving since its infancy. The positive feedback and the strongly increasing patronage from viewers, advertisers, and celebrities are altogether enough reasons for TV5 to celebrate its strong niche in the industry.
Party with TV5 on the station's double Happy One Year Anniversary Party on August 28 and 29, Friday and Saturday, to celebrate and shake as the station continues to bring innovative and highly-entertaining programs for the the Progressive Pinoys. Shake Mo TV Mo!
