In line with TV5’s campaign for kids programs that are both entertaining and educational, kids can now watch their favorite cartoons such as Barney, Spongebob Squarepants and Dora the Explorer in Filipino, facilitating better audience comprehension and acceptance while still keeping up with English language competency through shows such as Go Diego Go and Play With Me Sesame.
TV5 caters an exciting set of children shows that are dubbed in Filipino, making the shows more relevant and accessible to its Filipino audience. Nothing can be more exciting for kids than to see Barney, the friendly purple dinosaur speak Filipino, hear Dora the Explorer’s adventures told in Filipino while engaging them in a Pinoy-style play-along adventure, Jimmy Neutron speaking his genius in Filipino language, and laughing and goofing around with Spongebob Squarepants whose Filipino voice synchronization is remarkably almost at par with the original dubbing.
Children can further enjoy their morning and afternoon viewing every weekdays with shows including Pingu, Bob the Builder, Thomas and Friends, Wonder Pets, Blue’s Clues, Catdog, Danny Phantom, Bratz, Fireman Sam, Duel Masters, and Avatar the Legend of Aang—all dubbed in Filipino.
To balance the dose of Filipino-dubbed shows are a slew of English kiddie programs in the afternoon featuring Dora’s cousin, Diego in Go Diego Go, and Postman Pat, the stop-motion animated children’s show which features the adventures of Pat Clifton as the postman who delivers surprise packages all over the world.
A set of English educational shows also include the all-new Play With Me Sesame, where kids are brought on an interactive playdate with their favorite classic Sesame Street characters teaching them numbers and the alphabet, the cute and cuddly red monster Elmo in Elmo’s World, and the loveable and furry blue monster Grover, who travels across the globe to explore different cultures and traditions in Global Grover.
All these kiddie programs air weekdays beginning at 6 a.m. up to 6 p.m., taking a short break from 11:30 a.m. and resuming at 2 p.m. These new and exciting English and Filipino-dubbed educational kids’ programs are part of TV5’s special treat to its young viewers on its second season.
Watch out for bigger and more exciting second season shows as TV5 retains its number three position on Philippine TV. Shake Mo TV Mo!
