Amazing talents on TV5’s Talentadong Pinoy

Most people think singing, dancing, and acting are the key talents that must be showcased to be discovered on TV. But on TV5’s Talentadong Pinoy, anyone who wants to perform can do almost anything, as long as the judges and the audience find it amusing.

Now already on its 12th week of airing, Talentadong Pinoy, hosted by Ryan Agoncillo, continues to showcase a torrent of astounding performances ranging from singers, dancers, musicians and comedians, to contortionists, impressionists, jugglers and magicians. Last week’s Talentadong Pinoy winner was a man who has the ability to squirt milk out of the corner of his eye, snatching the title from the 4-week titleholder “Queen of loose wire-balance” Aling Rowena, who dances on top of a thin wire.

While some may see these acts as bizarre and unusual, the reality talent show never fails to awe its audience with amazing talent performances. To name a few are the perfect tandem of person and pooch, Byron and Booger—with Byron as the dog trainer and Booger as the former’s dance partner; the bone-breaking performance of father-daughter contortionists Al and Alma; a man with 60 voices who mimics popular TV and radio personalities; Bebo and Bobo the acrobats; the “flip spin” boys with their yoyo weapons, and the human flame-thrower, Amazing Virga.

To accommodate a smorgasbord of veritable Pinoy talents, Talentadong Pinoy also holds mall auditions at designated SM malls. Hundreds of talented hopefuls bare their talents to vie for the chance to perform onstage in front of a celebrity jury, in the hopes that they will be chosen the winner by the audience, and for a chance to win thousands worth of prizes.

Talentadong Pinoy airs every Saturday, 6 p.m. on TV5.
