“Every place has a story. Mysteries are meant to be unraveled. Clues are everywhere…you just have to find them.”
TV5’s Philippines’ Scariest Challenge, with hosts Jomari Yllana and Cesca Litton, dares celebrities to venture forth into the gloomy darkness of legendary places in the country. But this is more than just a challenge. Exposing these celebrity guests in paranormal dimensions and subjecting them to eerie experiments put their confidence and courage to the test.
Set in different haunted locations, this horror reality show taps on the overlapping dimensions of the real world and of the supernatural, magnifying terrified senses and becoming more aware of what could possibly be out there. Participating celebrities (and even the show’s staff and crew) are said to have actually experienced inexplicable and spine-chilling phenomena on and off-location.
An abandoned military hospital in Pampanga, the Mystical Cave in Antipolo, a deserted villa in Rizal, the spooky St. James school in Laguna, an abandoned chilling mansion in Bulacan, the eerie North Cemetery, and one of Batangas’ haunted monasteries—all these places have their own mysteries and stories to tell and all have been settings for the shows’ challenges.
Philippines’ Scariest Challenge airs every Friday at 6 pm. For its eighth spooky episode showing on October 10, the horror-reality show challenges gorgeous celebrity moms Angelu De Leon, Matet De Leon, and Alma Concepcion as they enter the halls of an abandoned theater where ghosts frequent and take the center stage.
