Janelle Manahan wished to be in front of the spotlight ever since she was a child. All she wanted then was to be known as a star in show business. Her first camera was the mirror at her dresser. She would act out scenes, cry and laugh, and deliver dialogues inside her room. Janelle's parents on the other hand, wanted her to focus on her studies. But the little girl's dream to get into showbiz prevailed. She auditioned for a TV network's star search. Among hundreds of teenagers who wished to get the grand prize winner of having a talent contract, Janelle placed 6th on the contest. With her ability in acting, singing and dancing, Janelle didn't just caught the attention of the tv audience but the executives of the network as well. She was given tv projects and became a mainstay on youth oriented shows and tv sitcom.
Ramgen Revilla, on the other hand was the son of movie legend and former senator Ramon Revilla Sr. He followed in his father's footsteps and was a regular scene stealer in showbiz gatherings, tv shows, and movie projects. Ramgen and Janelle first met on the set of a TV sitcom. But both of them were going steady with other partners. Janelle claims, he saw Ramgen smiling charmingly at her even if he was with her showbiz girlfriend at that time. They would later on meet when they were already "single and ready to mingle". The courtship didn't take that long, Ramgen asked Janelle to be her girlfriend after a few dates.
One year after, they would get serious with their relationship and would decide to bring it to the next level. But since they were only eighteen years old, they just decided to slowly live together. The little girl who left her studies in order to pursue her childhood dream, has decided to prioritize her boyfriend and the life that they wanted to spend together. They planned to get tie knot and spend their life together in 2013. On the eve of October 27th, Ramgen, in his expression of great love to Janelle, wrote these words on her ribs, "I love you forever". They spent the night with full of cuddling, talking about sweet nothing, and singing the love song "The Way I Do". Little do they know, that this will be their last night together, and would be physically apart forever.
On December 28th 2011, Janelle Manahan would face the camera again. This time on TV5's ANGGULO. She will recount her ordeal on the night her boyfriend was killed. Exactly two months after the tragedy, she reveals her insight and personal feelings on her last minutes with Ramgen.
