As a result, “Nandito Ako” was seen trending not only in the Philippines but also in Singapore, Malaysia, Canada, United States and Worldwide.

Celebrities from other networks also expressed their support for “Nandito Ako” and its stars as shown by these tweets from Anne Curtis, Erwan Heussaff and Ogie Alcasid.

From the Mini-Serye “Nandito Ako”

An estimated 700 fans flocked to the entrance of Cinema that morning wearing “Josh Bradley” (David’s character for Nandito Ako) and David Archuleta shirts together with their other David Archuleta memorabila, poster and banners. 20 of those fans were lucky participants of TV5’s video message promo, wherein each winner got 2 tickets for the special meet and greet session with David.

The Grand Fans Day started with mini-games and contests. The contestants sang their hearts out to their favorite David Archuleta song, then joined a trivia game shortly after. Jasmine Curtis Smith and Eula Caballero, the two leading ladies of David in the mini-series, helped in the third game which provided great challenge to the contestants as they were asked to act out a scene with Jasmine, Eula and the “David Archuleta” of SM Megamall.

Finally, the real David Archuleta graced the staged and sang “My Kind of Perfect” for the fans. It was perfect indeed, because a BIG surprise was about to be unveiled for the screaming fans!

The fans, who have long been waiting for snippets of the mini-serye “Nandito Ako”, were the first to watch the very first official trailer of the series! David, alongside Jasmine and Eula, watched with fans who were thrilled to finally see a little bit of David’s acting, a first for the American Idol superstar. It seemed like people inside the theater went on a roller-coaster ride as fans alternately cheered and shed tears throughout the viewing of the trailer. Even Jasmine, Eula and our newest Kapatid, David Archuleta could not help but get a bit emotional when they finally saw the initial output of all their hard work the past 15 days.

Then, the Pinoy Archies and Archuleta Philippines shared the stage with David, Jasmine and Eula as each group was given the chance to perform a number for their idol David.

The Grand Fans Day ended with David Archuleta saying “It’s really sad that we finished taping Nandito Ako, but I can’t wait for you guys to watch it! Hope you guys enjoy watching, Nandito Ako!.”

#NanditoAko, starts February 20 on TV5 primetime.

But alas, his 3-week stay in Manila has finally come to an end. Last February 4, 2012, David met the members of the media and the entertainment industry for the last time at the Grand Press Conference held at Meralco Fitness Center in Pasig.

The event was hosted by TV5′s own news correspondent, Lia Cruz. At the start of the Press Conference, the media was greeted by the cast of “Nandito Ako” singing the mini-serye’s theme song written by Aaron Paul del Rosario and popularized by Ogie Alcasid and Lea Salonga.

Nandito Ako is TV5′s highly anticipated primetime program starring international Kapatid star David Archuleta alongside the network’s home-grown princesses Jasmine Curtis Smith and Eula Caballero. Helmed by popular director Mac Alejandre, the series about young love will premiere this February 20, Monday on TV5 primetime.

The series is also a collaboration of some of the biggest names in the industry, including Gelli de Belen, Aiko Melendez, and comebacking actress, G Tongi.

The supporting cast, who were all present at the Press Con include Ana Feleo, Alwyn Uytingco, Joseph Bitangcol, Ana Capri, Mon Confiado, RS Francisco, David Bianco, Byron Ortile and Ms. Perla Bautista.

G Toengi was asked about how she got busy outside of showbiz for years and shared that she was studying Film at the University of California in Los Angeles (UCLA). She directed her very first 60-minute film “Pinoy Grease” and was invited by a friend over Facebook to cast for Nandito Ako.

Gelli de Belen and Aiko Melendez who are friends in real life but will be rivals in the mini-series are also looking forward to the hand slapping scene they are about to film. They both explained how easier it is for them to work with a friend on set.
Ana Feleo also shared how David Archuleta pours his heart out on every scene. Jasmine and Eula also confirmed that David always gives the best that he could give on every scene when they were asked how David is during their filming days.

Finally, David joined the cast of Nandito Ako on stage as he sang “Nandito Ako” in front of media friends before he left for Singapore. He was accompanied by Jay Durias on keyboards who also prepared a few songs to be used in the mini-series. Murmurs were heard inside the room as people discussed how he sings devoid of any accent. People who also commented on his sneak peek version of the song on TV5′s official YouTube page often wondered if he really is half-Pinoy.

As evidenced by the rave reception on the series’ characters both online (frequently landing on Twitter Philippines trending topics) and offline (high crowd attendance in mall shows), Nandito Ako is poised to be another top-rating show of TV5.
David answered a few questions from the media and expressed his admiration for Anne Curtis. He was asked how he found Anne’s concert, which he visited to show his support for Jasmine who also had a performance in the concert, and he replied:

“It was really fun but what I really respected about Anne was the message she was showing to people, to follow your dreams. She was open about not being a great singer out there but she still sang, ‘You know, I can do this, as long as I’m willing to work hard and do my best, and so can you.’ I really appreciate the message that she’s trying to bring and she’s encouraging more people to do the same thing.”

When asked about his experience with TV5, David replied, “What really made it great was that I started to get out of my comfort zone, including trying more food and being more adventurous. Everyone was supportive and the TV5 management was just so easy to work with. The experience has made me more mature. This isn’t something that I would normally do but I was willing to take on the challenge. I just had enough time before I go on a mission for a couple of years. It’s been exciting and it just taught me a lot about myself as a person. It’s so weird because I didn’t expect that at all.”

Nandito Ako will tell the story of Josh (played by David Archuleta), an international singer who travels to the Philippines to hold a series of concerts and to find his real identity, which has been hidden from him for a long time. He will meet Holly (Eula Caballero) whom he will soon fall in love with, but love has its twists and turns. Anya (Jasmine Curtis Smith), a boyish and carefree lass who is Holly’s bestfriend, will come into the picture and the three will soon uncover realities that will change their minds and hearts.
