This was the moment every David Archuleta fan has been waiting for – the GRAND FANS DAY that happened this Saturday, February 4 2012 at the SM Megamall.

An estimated 700 fans flocked to the entrance of Cinema that morning wearing “Josh Bradley” (David’s character for Nandito Ako) and David Archuleta shirts together with their other David Archuleta memorabila, poster and banners. 20 of those fans were lucky participants of TV5’s video message promo, wherein each winner got 2 tickets for the special meet and greet session with David.

The Grand Fans Day started with mini-games and contests. The contestants sang their hearts out to their favorite David Archuleta song, then joined a trivia game shortly after. Jasmine Curtis Smith and Eula Caballero, the two leading ladies of David in the mini-series, helped in the third game which provided great challenge to the contestants as they were asked to act out a scene with Jasmine, Eula and the “David Archuleta” of SM Megamall.

Finally, the real David Archuleta graced the staged and sang “My Kind of Perfect” for the fans. It was perfect indeed, because a BIG surprise was about to be unveiled for the screaming fans!

The fans, who have long been waiting for snippets of the mini-serye “Nandito Ako”, were the first to watch the very first official trailer of the series! David, alongside Jasmine and Eula, watched with fans who were thrilled to finally see a little bit of David’s acting, a first for the American Idol superstar. It seemed like people inside the theater went on a roller-coaster ride as fans alternately cheered and shed tears throughout the viewing of the trailer. Even Jasmine, Eula and our newest Kapatid, David Archuleta could not help but get a bit emotional when they finally saw the initial output of all their hard work the past 15 days.

Then, the Pinoy Archies and Archuleta Philippines shared the stage with David, Jasmine and Eula as each group was given the chance to perform a number for their idol David.

The Grand Fans Day ended with David Archuleta saying “It’s really sad that we finished taping Nandito Ako, but I can’t wait for you guys to watch it! Hope you guys enjoy watching, Nandito Ako!.”
